Job Overview
Support the smooth operation of library services by managing resources, assisting patrons with various information needs, and keeping accurate records. Help create a friendly and welcoming atmosphere by providing excellent customer service.

Duties

  • Assist patrons with locating books, digital resources, and other library materials.
  • Manage data entry tasks related to new acquisitions and patron records.
  • Support the organization and shelving of library materials
  • Provide excellent customer service by answering questions, guiding research efforts, and offering technology assistance.
  • Support library programs by helping organize events, preparing materials, setting up spaces, and promoting services to patrons
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of shelves, workspaces, and patron spaces.

Requirements

  • Strong communication skills for clear communication and record keeping
  • Friendly and helpful demeanor and a willingness to go the extra mile in patron service
  • Proficiency in computer and technology skills
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to type accurately for efficient data collection and entry
  • Knowledge of books, authors and experience in using libraries desired.
  • Strong educational background is a plus.
