Kids will each have the opportunity to use paint, felt, glitter & other various materials to transform a small wood disc into their favorite woodland animal.

Bring the whole family out for a fun-filled scavenger hunt around the lake! Figure out all of the clues and you just might earn yourself a prize! *Meet @ the Lions Pride Shelter at the very top of East Lake Park Hill as you enter to the left. Dress for the weather/trails (could be muddy) & bring bug spray!

• The Golden Hour Gatherings Ages 50+ - This monthly program/activity or presentation for ages 50+ won't always be the same thing, so stay connected! 

Join Anita Morrill as she teaches us all about foraging and the many uses (practical & medicinal) of things we can find right outside! *Meet @ the Lions Pride Shelter at the very top of East Lake Park Hill as you enter to the left. Dress for the weather/trails (could be muddy) & bring bug spray!

Join former zookeeper & orinthologist, Debi Talbot as she shares one of her tortoises with us! She will also be sharing and educating us on different types of bird feathers, eggs, etc. This is an educational opportunity you won’t want to miss!

Kids will each have the opportunity to decorate their own bird feeder that will hang outside at home & be given a small bag of bird seed to go with it.

Kids will each have the opportunity to choose from a selection of dried pressed flowers to arrange onto contact paper. They will then be glued into a canning ring and can be used as a suncatcher or as a decorative ornament.

Spend your time browsing the various selection of science station tables set up to explore! Topics of discovery may include: rock identification, engineering, generators, singing bowls, magnets, swinging sticks, wooden planks, rain sticks, tuning forks, simple machines, Euler’s Coin, Helicone, HypnoGizmo, microscopes & more!

Skippy The Drum Machine” is an educational concert showing how music is made through the voice, body, and beatboxing, the art of making drum sounds with your mouth. Led by Luke “Skippy” Harbur, you’ll learn something new, make silly sounds, wiggle your body, and leave with tools for how to make your own music! No experience necessary: no matter your age, this program proves we are all smarter, kinder, and better together!
