Interlibrary Loan

If you can’t find the book you’re looking for in the library, talk with one of the librarians. If we don’t own it we can usually order it from another Iowa library, and they will ship it to us.

Because we participate in the statewide IA Shares program, there is no cost to us for shipping, and so interlibrary loan service is free to our users! One thing to realize is that it can sometimes take two weeks or more to receive items that are ordered. Length of checkout time varies from one library to another; you may be able to keep the book for two to four weeks. As soon as your material arrives, we will contact you and let you know that the item is ready for pickup.
